How to make a Monster Yarn Bug

Materials
2 in styrofoam ball
yarn
1 pipe cleaner
small book
hot glue/elmers glue
googly eyes
scissors

Directions
1. Cut the bottom of the styrofoam ball off so it can stand
2. Rap the string around the small book at least 100 times
3. tie a double knot on the top loop so they won't fall apart
4. cut the bottom loop so you have a bunch of strands hanging
5. glue the string on the top of the styrofoam (not the cut part)
6. spread the srting out so it's laying on top of the whole ball
7. cut the pipe cleaner in half
8. roll the pipe cleaners about 2 centimeters on both
9. stick the uncurled part of the pipe cleaners into the top of the styrofoam ball
10. glue the googly eyes onto the string

How to Make a Sock Stuffed Animal

Materials
1. One big sock
2. Five small socks
3. Needle and thread
4. Sharpe


Directions
1. Ask your parent if you can use the socks you found.
2. Stuff the big sock with stuffing until it's filled, then sew the bottom closed.
3. Do the same with four of the small socks.
4. Cut the remaining sock in half and stuff it. Sew it in the middle of the upper Body to make a mouth.
4. Sew each sock together to form a body shaped figure.
5. Draw eyes a mouth and anything else you want on it.

How to Make a Simple Puzzle

Materials

1. Piece of cardboard (as big as you want your puzzle to be).
2. Crayons, markers, paint, etc.
3. Scissors
4. Paper (optional).
5. Glue
6. Box (optional).

Directions

1. Color a picture on the paper or the cardboard.
2. Glue the paper to the cardboard, if you have paper.
3. Cut the picture into funky shapes.
4. Challenge a friend to put it together.
5. If you want to you can get a box to put the puzzle pieces in.

How to Make a Simple but Cute Teddy Bear

Materials

1. Fabric
2. Scissors
3. Sewing machine or needle and thread (get thread that matches your fabric).
4. Pattern (You can make the pattern or print one off the internet)(Make sure the pattern is one big piece and not a million small ones).
5. Cotton stuffing

Directions

1. Cut out the pattern but make sure to leave some seam allouance.
2. Place the pattern on the edge of the fabric and trace it (make sure you can see your trace).
3. Cut out the outline of the pattern.
4. Flip the cut out pattern so that the two good side are inside.
5. Start sewing around the edges of the pattern. (Make sure to leave a little opening to put the stuffing through).
6. When you are done sewing, take the pattern and flip it inside out. (Which will actually be the right way).
7. Stuff the bear, make sure its extra fluffy.
8. When you are satisfied with your stuffing, sew up the hole.
9. Now you have a simple but cute teddy bear.

How to Make an Aquarium

Materials

1. Oatmeal box (with lid)
2. 2 liter soda bottle (make sure you can see through it).
3. Construction paper (5 different colors(or more), but one must be green.)
4. Scissors
5. Fishing wire
6. Hot Glue Gun
7. Tape

Directions

1. Cut the oatmeal box so there is 2 inches left on both sides (the bottom and the top).
2. Cut the 2 liter soda bottles top and bottom off about 4 inches.
3. Cut a fish shape out of each piece of paper.
4. Cut some seaweed shapes out of the green piece of paper.
5. Have an adult help you glue the seaweed to the bottom of the oatmeal box (but don't put it around the edges).
6. Cut five different lengths of wire.
7. Tape each piece of wire to the back of each fish.
8. Tape the wire to the lid of the oatmeal box.
9. Have an adult help you glue the bottom part of the oatmeal box to the bottom of the 2 liter soda bottle (so the seaweed is inside the soda bottle).
10. Have an adult help you glue the top of the oatmeal box to the top of the soda bottle (so that the fish dangle inside the soda bottle).
11. There you have it an aquarium.

How to Make a Home Made Bowling Alley

Materials

1. 10 8" Tubes
2. Construction paper (your choice of colors)
3. Glue
4. Scissors
5. Styrofoam ball
6. Paint (your choice of color)

Directions

1. Wrap all the tubes in construction paper.
2. Cut 3 of the tubes so that they are 6".
3. Cut 2 of the tubes so that they are 4".
4. Cut 1 of the tubes so that it is 2".
5. Paint the Styrofoam ball in the color of your choice.
6. Set up the tubes so that the 4 8" tubes are in the back, the 3 6" tubes are in front of that, the 2 4" tubes are in front of that, and the 1 2" tubes are in the very front.
7. Roll the ball and knock over the pins.

How to Make a Snow Globe

Materials
  1. Clear dome
  2. Glitter (your choice)(Not glitter glue pen)
  3. Salt Water
  4. Plastic circle (to fit the bottom of your dome)
  5. Hot Glue Gun
  6. Plastic Toy
Directions
  1. Put some glitter in your dome. Just enough to fill one fourth of the dome.
  2. Fill the dome most of the way up with the salt water.
  3. Have an adult help you glue the plastic toy in the middle of the bottom circle.
  4. Have an adult help you glue the plastic circle to the dome, with the dome upside down.
  5. Wait for the glue to dry.
  6. Shake up your Snow Globe and watch it snow
